Cube Blast is a block puzzle about placing pieces on a grid and clearing completed rows and columns. Each placement changes the space available for the pieces that follow, keeping attention on the board in front of you. Alongside that familiar puzzle format, the product focuses on whether a leaderboard result can be traced back to the game that produced it. A submitted number is not enough on its own: the recorded moves are used to calculate the result again before it is accepted. The result connects each move on the board with a score checked against the rules of the game you played.
For players who enjoy fitting pieces together and want a score that reflects the game they played.
What it does
- Build a puzzle around placement. Fit pieces into the available space and clear full rows and columns. Every move changes the shape of the board and the openings left for another piece.
- Check the game behind a score. Submitted results are checked against recorded moves, so a leaderboard entry is assessed as the outcome of a game rather than simply an asserted number.
- Keep comparisons consistent. Results produced under different game rules are kept separate. Each score is associated with the rules used to play that game.
- Support account transitions. Account handling covers moving from a guest account to an email account and merging accounts when needed. These flows are part of the work surrounding the puzzle.
- Include account deletion. The deletion flow does not retain the email address. It sits alongside the account and score handling developed for the game.
